Will Nolan start against QPR?
Now he's had a good fifteen mins under his belt, I bet BFS is itching to restore Allardyce Jr to his 'rightful' place in the starting 11.

Agree with comments...

Ok Nolan has had his day - but how many times in the past few seasons has he come up with the goods when it matters...think he deserves more respect than this!

And anyone that goes to football with the intention of booing your own...deserve to be f*cking turfed out :-/

Re: Will Nolan start against QPR?
Absolute joke booing Nolan, what he has done for this club in his time here has been everything required and some. His goals helped us get promoted in the first place.

Been top scorer for the previous 3 years running.

Nearly worked at Old Trafford, missed out on a well deserved draw by a milimeter, sometimes they're even given.

Came on yesterday and got himself in the right position unfortunately hit it straight at Green.

I felt bringing Nolan on yesterday considering who we had on the bench was the right choice and couldn't believe it when he started receiving boo's.

I don't think he should be starting games now with the squad we have and credit to Sam he hasn't done that, but I have no problem what so ever him coming on if we are needing a goal as he has a knack of popping up in the right areas when he is fresh.

I also don't have a problem him coming on to defend a lead when we need a bit of leadership, which he is excellent at.

I don't rate Nolan as a player, but booing one of our own players before they come on is utterly pathetic.

Re: Will Nolan start against QPR?
Bloke behind me said something like

"We clap Green and Ferdinand and yet boo our own fucking player/captain."

Made a fair point.

64... maybe get the turnstile operators back so they can ask people??

"Did you boo Nolan"
"No"
"Good. Out of the door, line on the left, one cross each"

"Did you boo Nolan"
"No"
"Good. Out of the door, line on the left, one cross each"

"Did you boo Nolan"
"Yes"
"Oh... well unfortunately we cannot allow you entry as it's jolly bad form...
"Ha... only joking ... No I didn't boo Nolan"
"Oh Good. Out of the door, line on the left, one cross each"

Whether you like Nolan or not the booing was disgusting.

Anybody that booed is a prize cunt and shouldn't be allowed into the ground.

Re: Will Nolan start against QPR?
I can't see him starting again baring injuries. He may well be worth a cameo in the last 20 mins if either a) we have a comfortable lead or B) we need to nick one. He has got a goal in him and lets face it, on the salary he's on, he's not going anywhere.

Re: Will Nolan start against QPR?
found the booing ebarrassing personally

I don't want him back in the side but that's not on in my book

then again people pay whatever for a ticket so it's up to them I suppose, just counter productive in my book

Re: Will Nolan start against QPR?
I heard the booing. Disgraceful even though I'm not a Nolan fan.

I think he can still be an impact player for us as a sub if we need to change the plan; Especially if Carrolls back;

I think he gives 100%.

I also like him as a person... Think he comes across very well.

The booing of any players in a claret and blue shirt is never acceptable unless we're playing away against Burnley.

Never heard it on the tele and the commentators never mentioned it

I agree no place for booing, I just never heard it.

Re: Will Nolan start against QPR?
Burns, I heard loads of booing. It was embarrassing.

Did they mention it on the box, at all?
